Not being familiar with "Bastogne", we were informed by our hosts that there was a wonderful museum in Bastogne and a memorial for the US troops who "saved" Belgium from the Germans in WWII.
We later learned Bastogne was included in the Battle of the Bulge and that we weren't really looking to eat way too much.
On Wednesday morning, Manu stopped by Paul's in his Morgan ready for the trip.

Marie-Isabelle had her trusted map in hand, and we had Garmin turned on only to confuse us greatly. While there is a walking mode in Garmin, there is NO backroads/scenic routes that can be selected. Garmin do you hear us?
We left Brussels in convoy with a short hop on the motorway, then beautiful backroads driving to Bastogne, stopping for coffee in Durbuy and viewing from afar, the Durbuy Chateau d'Ursel.

We Americans had not had a "hamburger" since we arrived on our holiday, so the American Burger cafe was selected for lunch in Bastogne, and we had California burgers... yummmmmm.
A quick ride back to Van Teruven over the motorway, had us home in time for a short afternoon nap before our tour of Brussels that evening.
